Starting a pro-life chapter in your community: easier than you may think!
The pro-life movement in New Brunswick is only strong if it is strong in each of our communities. We need a chapter of the New Brunswick Right to Life Association in every city, town and village!
Forming a chapter is easier than you may think. Here is all it takes:
Two or three people with pro-life principles who try to carry out at least one common activity per year while adhering to NBRL policies.
“Two or three people”
-
in the sanctity of all human life as a gift from God;
-
in respect for life from conception until natural death;
-
that every human being has a right to life;
-
in the dignity of all human beings as creatures of God – preborn and born, young and elderly,disabled and able-bodied, sick and healthy, poor and rich, weak and strong;
-
it is wrong to deliberately destroy innocent life by such means as abortion, suicide, infanticide, euthanasia, starvation, genocide.
-
Write a letter asking the government to protect preborn children.
-
Hold a bake sale to raise money for pro-life literature.
-
Donate a book on euthanasia to a school library.
-
Put an ad in the newspaper advertising crisis pregnancy help.
-
Show an educational video to a few people.
-
Set up an information table at a fair.
-
Hold a prayer meeting to pray for an end to abortion.
-
We are inclusive, welcoming as members all who are pro-life regardless of age, creed, gender, or other distinction.
-
We believe in good will toward all. We pray and work for change of heart among those who advocate or perform acts of violence. We support only peaceful means for stopping violence.
-
NBRL is a registered charity. That means no partisan political activity. But we can still talk pro-life to politicians!
-
All chapters have the same membership fees (presently, $20 per year for each individual, family or group).
